A United Launch Alliance rocket blasted off into orbit today from Cape Canaveral. It carried 29 small satellites for Amazon’s satellite-internet network. These will join a swelling group already flying low over Earth.
This flight ended the Atlas V program after years in use. In California, SpaceX also launched a Falcon 9 rocket this morning. It delivered 24 of its own Starlink satellites. Another SpaceX flight is set for tonight – Phoenix viewers may spot the rocket’s bright trail.
