Tottenham Hotspur completed an £85 million deal for midfielder Mateus Fernandes on Friday. West Ham United agreed terms after weeks of negotiations. Fernandes passed his medical and put pen to paper straight away. Manchester United made a bid earlier this year. Tottenham matched the asking price to secure the transfer. The midfielder will now join Spurs’ first team before pre-season starts. The club announced the agreement after all documents were signed late on Friday night.
