Josh Worrell, Adelaide Crows forward, who is a regular player, was in a minor crash that happened Friday before training session for the upcoming Gold Coast match.
The accident hurt a nearby pedestrian, who police then took to a hospital.
Worrell was not taken into custody at the scene of the crash.
Teammates told reporters in the media room Worrell seemed upset after the crash.
Police now look into the incident as described, and have issued a statement to the press.
The club has noted they will check if Worrell can play on the field against Gold Coast, pending fitness assessment, if cleared, and will consider the decision shortly.
