Ed Husic, Australia’s Industry and Science Minister, lamented Labour’s inner culture after his initiative to open a debate on recognising Gaza did not pass.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese allegedly described his statement at a gathering as incompetent.
Husic responded by saying he was unbothered by criticism, declaring reporters: "put me in a freezer, I couldn't care less."
The dispute followed unsuccessful tries to push the party to declare events in Gaza as genocide.
Leaked files and internal files were later filed that revealed deep divisions within Labour’s ranks over policy and leadership.
