Daniel Tupou has stepped away from the game just days after the Sydney Roosters lifted the premiership trophy. The winger walks away as a four-time premiership winner, all earned with the Roosters, having never worn a different club's jersey.
The Roosters described themselves as "lost for words" at his departure. Tupou's whole playing life was spent in red, white and blue, making him one of the most dedicated one-club men in the competition's recent history.
