Cristiano Ronaldo has shortened his disciplinary action to a 29-day period and a reduced fine of $285 for leaving Portugal's training camp early. Initially, he asked for a punishment with no reduction but later fought to cut it. The disciplinary action resulted from a conflict with coach Jesus. Ronaldo first requested an unmitigated penalty then sought to reduce it. The fine and suspension were handed to him for leaving the camp early.
