www.exaputra.comChurchill Falls is a huge hydroelectric complex located on the Churchill River in Labrador, comprising the Churchill Falls Generating Station (CFGS), the Smallwood Reservoir, and related dams and transmission lines. The CFGS has an installed capacity of 5,000 approximately MW, making it one of Canada's largest hydro facilities. It began operation in the early early seventies, built between 1966 and 1975. The project involved flooding a significant area of the Innu lands, covering six thousand square kilometers. This process created the Smallwood Reservoir and the dams connected to it.
