Billy Daniels (William Boone Daniels, 1915-1988) was an American singer and actor who appeared at early television in the 1950s and ventured into mainstream entertainment as one of the first African-American performers to do so. He became a headliner in New York nightclubs in the 1950s and later took the stage in Golden Boy (1964) with Sammy Davis Jr., sharing the road with Pearl Bailey in Hello, Dolly! (1975). Daniels earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1977. A storied career spanning clubs to Broadway left a lasting mark in American entertainment.
