Connor McDavid just won the 2025-26 Art Ross Trophy, his sixth career scoring title, with 138 points for the Edmonton Oilers. The latest reports also note that this ties him for second-most all time, behind Wayne Gretzky’s 10.[1][2]
What happened
McDavid finished the season with 48 goals and 90 assists in 82 games, edging Nikita Kucherov, who finished second with 130 points.[2][1]
Why it matters
This is McDavid’s first Art Ross since 2022-23, and it reasserts him as the NHL’s leading point producer even in a season where Kucherov and Nathan MacKinnon were also in the race.[3][1]
