Amanda Stoker has been named as the new child safety and domestic violence minister in Queensland, taking over from Amanda Camm. Camm stepped down from the frontbench because of safety reasons. Stoker, a conservative backbencher, was officially sworn in amid news about a aggressive performance measure for the new minister. The appointment comes as Queensland confronts challenges in dealing with child safety and domestic violence issues.
