Alex Marquez injured in crash-strewn Catalonia MotoGP
Riders Alex Marquez and Johann Zarco are taken to hospital after high-speed crashes at the Catalonia MotoGP in a race won by Fabio di Giannantonio.

He was airlifted to hospital followed by surgical repair for a fractured right collarbone, with a small C7 vertebrae fracture. The clavicle repair involved a plate. Gresini Racing stated he remained conscious after the incident. Fabio Di Giannantonio took victory. Márquez is expected to miss Mugello and the Balaton races.
